The new General Merchandise Hall opened for business on Saturday October 24, 2009. The new hall is providing a new experience for shoppers, offering a great range of clothing, footwear, homewares, gifts, jewellery, souvenirs, computer accessories, toys, jewellery and memorabilia. The old General Merchandise hall is currently being redeveloped into a new Meat, Fish and Deli hall. The expected date for completion is June 2010. The shops in this area have been closed for renovation. Aroma Bakery and Dennis Schwarze Seafood have temporarily relocated to the market square and Southern food court area. Ross Pecora Cheeses, Bill Vasili Delicatessan, AFG nuts, Peanut Market, Phan confectionary and Perfect Coffee Shop have temporarily relocated into the market square, Southern food court and General Merchandise hall.
The old basketball court (formerly K Row) is being converted into a produce hall and will feature an extensive range of nuts, coffee, honey, oils, herbs and spices. The expected date for completion is late April 2010.
The existing Fruit and Vegetable trading area is undergoing refurbishment with fruit and vegetable stallholders re-located to the Southern Food court area. Please note that some stallholders are taking leave during this period. Please refer to the stallholder directory for updates and new locations. The expected date for completion of the Fruit and Vegetable area is late April, 2010. This area will also include the Northern Food court.
All food vans have been relocated to the East end of the car park (next to the General Merchandise hall) during refurbishment of the fruit and vegetable area.
