Dream Patisserie was founded in July 2003 as a manufacturer and wholesaler of gourmet handmade Greek style cakes, biscuits and savoury pastries by the Katsaras family. With almost 50 years of experience in baking cakes and biscuits and owning cake shops, Danny Katsaras found a huge gap in the Market for gourmet handmade quality products. As Melbournians evolved into foodies, cafes were always looking for something better to satisfy their clients and Dream found their niche market selling their handmade products to gourmet cafes and cake shops. In April 2011, Jim and Kali opened at Dandenong Market. The popular Greek and European Handmade gourmet products have become popular with visitors. Dream's range is extensive with such exotic creations such as a round sesame Koulouri which is delicious, light Greek butter shortbread delicately flavoured with vanilla, orange and sesame, or the Almond Baklava an irresistably crunchy filo pastry filled with roasted almonds, coated in a light sugar and cinnamon, soaked in citrus syrup. Orders welcome and catering available. Dream alos offer Loyalty club members free access to VIP specials and a free cake order valued at $30. Eftpos and credit card facilities are available.
