Poffertjes, renowed for their distinct round fluffy shape, date back to the 15th century and traditionally were only cooked in the family home and at festivals in the Netherlands. Lucky for us they found their way to Australia and Johan and Mariette have been cooking their own recipe of these famous little Dutch pancakes for well over 5 years at the Market. Delightully light and fluffy who can resist a plate with a choice of maple syrup, lemon, honey and a sprinkle of icing sugar.
