Visit Mauritian Hut in theNorthern Food Court, where Mauritian born Andy cooks up a storm. His hot puri (pancakes) with Achard (vegetable curry) is deliciously spicy but not hot. Andy blends his own spice paste using Tumeric, coriander sees, onion, garlic, cinnamon and cloves. Traditionally Mauritian curries and samosas do not contain Chilli, but Andy is always happy to add., and for those who do love a bit more spice, try the Vadai (Chilli cakes – just 3 for $2 – one the most popular menu items. Meat and vegetable samosas are available for $2 each.
